Banbha Quartet “is made up of four of our most celebrated musicians”

Based in Ireland, the Banbha Quartet was formed in 2020 and is supported by the National String Quartet Foundation. It has performed at venues all around Ireland, including The Glens Centre, Manorhamilton, Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise, Nenagh Arts Centre, St Iberius Church-Wexford, Triskel Arts Centre-Cork, The Kevin Barry Room at the National Concert Hall and Christchurch Clifden as part of Clifden Arts Festival. In 2020, they performed as part of the National String Quartet Foundation's Beethoven 250 Series. They also engage in educational work, most recently for Music Generation Kilkenny.
In 2022 they premiered Tom Lane’s „Refractions”- funded by The Arts Council and in 2024 Banbha quartet premiered Seán Doherty’s „Varsouviana”, a commission by quartet’s violinist, exploring joint heritage of Ireland and Poland.
